What makes it funny?
The dead bring Charley unfinished business, and she answers with the impatience and sarcasm of a working PI. Her irreverent attitude turns guiding souls into another demanding part of the job.
The comedy at work
Jones gives a supernatural heroine a fast-talking voice and an active sex life. Charley handles ghostly encounters with the same cheek she brings to the living, even as the murder case grows dangerous.
