What makes it funny?
Perry arrives close enough to see the chosen-one treatment and receives none of its benefits. The powers and admirers belong to someone else, and his attempt to negotiate better terms makes his predicament worse.
Try this if…
Perry has to use a bard's wit and music under rules that limit direct combat. A wisecracking System adds another voice to this parody of being summoned for a grand adventure.
