Courier Quest
Courier Quest · Book 1 · 2024
Trevor Anderson could use a vacation from retail. An accident sends him to Tosa, a peaceful fantasy town where his new ability to store things in magical space makes courier work possible. Getting away from his old job is easier than learning to stop working and enjoy the people around him.

What makes it funny?
During his summoning, Trevor asks for some space. The system takes him literally and grants inventory magic, leaving him to worry that everyone will want help moving. Elsewhere, sarcastic quest instructions and a Texan's Earth references supply the jokes singled out in Sarah Henne's review.
The comedy at work
The opening narrator explains otherworldly summons with dry seriousness, then gives the familiar truck-accident setup a toy-sized culprit. Trevor's polite, anxious responses make a magical character-creation process feel like an awkward encounter with a form that won't let him correct his answers.
Try this if…
Readers in LitRPG book groups praise the soothing pace, lively characters and sweet romance. This suits an appetite for small errands and personal growth with game statistics attached; familiarity with role-playing games isn't essential to following the story, according to Henne's review.
Good to know
Readers describe the romance as gentle and find this first volume satisfying on its own, though the series continues. One reader cautions that Trevor apologizes frequently, which may grate if you prefer a more assertive protagonist.
