What makes it funny?
Becky puts Finnish on her resume, then meets an employer who has Finnish clients. Her attempts to look more accomplished leave her having to perform skills she invented.
The comedy at work
Her anxious inner monologue makes room for another purchase or another excuse. Each lie creates something else she has to remember, while the gap between her financial expertise and her behavior keeps widening.
Try this if…
Fashion, romantic complications and elaborate financial avoidance drive this comedy. Becky can be an exasperating companion; much of the appeal depends on enjoying the explanations she gives herself.
