What makes it funny?
Flip, the mail employee who keeps disrupting Sandra's work, gives the office an inexhaustible supply of mishaps. The jokes follow the researchers through wrong deliveries and narrowly missed connections, with Sandra keeping a sharp eye on everyone else's foolish behavior.
The comedy at work
Willis gives the researchers a practical demonstration of their subject. The disorder that complicates scientific work also drives the screwball romance, while the sheep make human herd behavior an especially pointed subject for study.
Try this if…
Office satire with a scientific puzzle and a developing romance. The appeal lies in watching observant people work around a corporation's daily foolishness.
Good to know
Publishers Weekly enjoyed the comedy but found the plot's direction easy to guess and Sandra's tolerance of Flip frustrating.
