Oli and his cousins have a family visit to make, evil packages to deliver and a secret errand for their besieged Dark Lord. Retrieving a doomsday weapon would be simpler if these goblins could follow a plan without helping the wrong side.

## What makes it funny?

A dragon decides Oli is too dim to deceive it, and Oli agrees with evident pleasure. That exchange, quoted in the Fantasy Hive review, captures the cousins' habit of misunderstanding an insult or a dangerous situation. One reader in a LitRPG book group singled this out as a particularly fun cozy read.

### The comedy at work

Knight gives the supposed servants of evil generous hearts and poor judgment. Their attempts to be useful repeatedly interfere with their own side. The Fantasy Hive reviewer describes an opening that parodies The Lord of the Rings before the goblins' delivery work takes the story farther afield.
