Olivia moves in with her brother and his irritating friend Colin after a string of disasters. A stranger texting the wrong number gives her a welcome outlet for flirting. Her anonymous partner is Colin, who works out the connection before she does.

## What makes it funny?

A sexual text from a stranger gets an unexpected answer: Olivia supplies an absurd picture of family underwear. The sender keeps the exchange going before they acknowledge the wrong number. Olivia meets an apparent proposition by seeing how ridiculous she can make the conversation.

### The comedy at work

Anonymity gives Olivia and Colin permission to enjoy the repartee they struggle to sustain face to face. Her self-deprecating account of her disasters adds another perspective on the gap between the person typing and the person sharing the apartment.

### Try this if…

The appeal includes opposites sharing a home: Olivia’s messiness meets Colin’s neatness. Readers who enjoy people getting along better in writing than in person can follow two versions of the same developing relationship.

### Good to know

The story includes perspectives from each lead. The opening has swearing, drinking and sexual innuendo, and this is an adult romance with sexual heat.
