# Kiss Slay Replay

By Rachel Harrison

Profile: https://hahafiction.com/books/kiss-slay-replay-80fdb7ed/

Willa Sullivan expected a painful reunion with her ex-fiancé at her friends' wedding. A masked killer makes the reception far worse. When she wakes up on the same wedding morning, she has another chance to keep her friends alive. She also needs a way out of the loop.

## What makes it funny?

Willa's friends can barely let her get dressed without teasing her. Her own narration is just as merciless: she resents her past self for leaving problems to her future self. Even once the killings begin, she needs a friend to explain the Groundhog Day reference.

### The comedy at work

Harrison keeps Willa's social anxiety running alongside the slasher danger. Familiar exchanges among old friends continue amid the terror, while the repeated day gives Willa room to try increasingly elaborate changes.

### Try this if…

Readers who enjoy horror with sharp dialogue and a frightened, self-questioning narrator have plenty to work with here. Friendship and the feeling of falling behind your peers matter as much as the wedding's romantic possibilities.

### Good to know

Expect bloody violence, profanity and sexual banter. The wedding and flirtation introduce a story with a strong focus on friendships and self-acceptance.
