Werewolf Duke and vampire Earl stop for food at Loretta's diner and end up taking work against its recurring zombie visitors. The restaurant's troubles lead the two travelers toward a supernatural threat with much wider ambitions.

## What makes it funny?

Duke would prefer to finish eating before fighting the zombies. Loretta's offer of employment is equally practical: she initially has a broken gas line in mind. Food and maintenance keep intruding on the monster business.

### The comedy at work

Duke and Earl bicker like travel companions who have spent too long in the same vehicle. Earl's comb-over and independently wandering shadow make it difficult for him to preserve much vampire grandeur.

### Try this if…

The friendship and arguments give this monster story the feel of a buddy comedy. A taste for shabby supernatural characters with everyday grievances is useful company for the escalating trouble.

### Good to know

The opening sample contains profanity, sexualized descriptions and graphic zombie dismemberment. The humor is raunchy, with plenty of bodily violence.
