Meddy Chan's blind date ends with an accidental killing. Her mother and aunties help hide the body, which promptly travels in a cake cooler to the lavish wedding they're working. Meddy also has to face the college boyfriend she never got over.

## What makes it funny?

The opening makes a family dim-sum meal fiercely competitive: serving food proves devotion only if everyone notices. Later, the same relatives apply their determination to a corpse that threatens to spoil a paying client's wedding.

### The comedy at work

Professional obligations keep the family committed to an increasingly impossible job. Each attempt to manage the body has to coexist with catering, appearances and relatives who insist on having their say.

### Try this if…

Family interference and escalating farce carry this mixture of crime and romantic reunion. The aunties argue and obstruct while remaining the people Meddy calls when she's in trouble.

### Good to know

Meddy's date attempts sexual assault before she kills him. The story treats the concealment of his body as dark comedy, with romantic and family scenes alongside it.
