Natalie, one of Frankenstein's creations, works in a New York morgue and attends a support group for monsters. When a murder threatens the group, its members have to investigate together.

## What makes it funny?

A mummy takes a cosmetics job to get the moisturizer she needs to stop drying out. A werewolf keeps losing jobs because he steals razors.

### The comedy at work

Petersen turns familiar monster traits into employment troubles and personal embarrassments. Group therapy gives creatures accustomed to frightening people a place to complain about trying to live among them.

### Try this if…

Readers can come for seeing familiar horror creatures struggle with work, self-consciousness and one another. A murder investigation gives their support group a reason to act outside its meetings.

### Good to know

The everyday complaints accompany murders and threats against the group's members.
