# Catastrophe at the Collapsing College

By Ryan Rimmel · Fifth Era Apocalypse, book 3

Profile: https://hahafiction.com/books/catastrophe-at-the-collapsing-college-e7e952e8/

Five friends have spent months trapped inside the fantasy campaign they used to play. With the Necrolord's plans moving forward, the party now faces another complication: higher education.

## What makes it funny?

The party's private problems keep competing with its heroic duties. Wyatt is courting his own brilliant wife, Melf depends on seduction, and Bourbon has a smooth face to contend with.

### The comedy at work

The college premise puts a familiar institution on the same list of threats as an apocalyptic enemy. The friends may know games, but their embarrassments and questionable judgment still interfere with being heroes.

### Try this if…

An ensemble of gamers drives the action, with each member bringing a personal complication to the campaign. The appeal depends as much on the party's behavior as on the fantasy peril.

### Good to know

This is book three of Fifth Era Apocalypse and continues the party's existing adventure. Johnathan McClain narrates the audiobook.
