# Bunny

By Mona Awad

Profile: https://hahafiction.com/books/bunny-d27a1615/

An isolated student in an MFA program joins a wealthy clique whose writing workshops become sinister.

## What makes it funny?

Awad’s premise makes the desire to belong to a literary circle both ridiculous and dangerous.

### The comedy at work

The group’s exaggerated sweetness sits beside increasingly sinister creative rituals. That contrast gives the social sendup a dark comic edge without treating its menace as harmless.
